What’s a road rally?
A road rally is a type of scavenger hunt in which teams of 3-4 adults compete for points to win prizes and honor. Each team meets at a designated location, receives a rally packet including a scavenger hunt list and route/destination clues. The Plug-in Day Lansing Road Rally includes destinations that are relevant to electric vehicles. The rally will begin and end at Lansing Community College (LCC) West Campus in coordination with their 6th Annual Car Show.
Each team should be led by an electric vehicle (EV) owner, who will drive his/her vehicle in the rally. This EV owner is the team “captain”. Team captains can organize their own teams of 3-4 adults or can contact GLACC for help in building a team. Teams must include at least 3 and not more than 4 adults. The goal of this road rally is to have fun (safely) and to get people into and excited about plug-in EVs.
This event is set for Saturday, September 22, rain or shine, and will run from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Teams must arrive at the starting location by 9:00 a.m. and must arrive at the final destination by 11:00 a.m. Prizes and honors will be awarded at 11:20 a.m. For those who do not wish to participate in a road rally team, but do want to join in the fun, please join us at Lansing Community College – West Campus as teams arrive and receive their honors.
