Detroit Buildings & Facilities – Get an EV Charger!

Detroit 2030 District has selected the first four recipients for their pilot EV charging project to advance transportation emissions reductions from member buildings and facilities. This pilot provides one “level 2” EV charging station, installed, capable of charging two vehicles at once. Six spots remain, which will be filled in September and October. Don’t wait to apply – there is no risk to apply using the Google Form pre-application. You will be notified if you are invited to complete the full application. 

Costs to participants include the following, however, resource constrained organizations should not count themselves out – contact Detroit 2030 District to discuss options. There will be a cost of up to $2500 for the Level 2 charging station installed at recipient locations. Recipients must be official Gold Level Building Members of the Detroit 2030 District. The Gold Level is a $500 annual fee. Nonprofits are $350 annual fee. You can sign up as a Gold Level Building Member at any time for this level.

There are two requirements at this time,

  1. participants must not already have operational EV chargers at their site;
  2. EV stations installed must be publicly accessible.
