A Look Back at 2024
- Expanding EV Infrastructure: The year started strong with an $8 million grant to install public EV chargers in Lansing. MICC is proud to support this effort to make electric transportation more accessible.
- Strengthening Partnerships: From Washington, D.C., to Detroit, MICC connected with national and local leaders to share best practices and drive meaningful change.
- Supporting Workforce Growth: The Battery Workforce Initiative promises new opportunities for Michigan’s workforce as the auto industry transitions to clean energy.
- Bringing EVs to Communities: Carsharing programs expanded across the state, with new sites launching in Ann Arbor and Detroit, providing affordable access to electric vehicles.
- Advancing Alternative Fuels: MICC worked alongside partners to promote biodiesel solutions for hard-to-electrify transportation sectors, ensuring a cleaner future for Michigan’s ports and roadways.
- Community Engagement & Equity: From transportation planning in Detroit to educational workshops and industry events, MICC remained committed to making clean transportation accessible for all.
